Fueling Honda’s high-speed shift into fashion
For 15+ years, Honda Motors and its sister company, American Honda Motors, ran a thriving licensing program centered on auto accessories, dealer merchandise, toys and games. But with shifting consumer preferences and increased demand for vintage brands, Earthbound identified an opportunity to expand Honda’s reach beyond its power equipment portfolio and into a category fit for a brand-new generation: fashion.
By tapping into the vintage moto fashion trend, Earthbound sought to reshape Honda’s perception with millennial and gen z shoppers by blending nostalgia with modern brands. For Earthbound, this initiative also included crafting a fresh style guide that injected new energy into Honda’s identity while preserving the voice that resonated with existing fans.
