Partnership to expand iconic New York bakery into new food and beverage categories

Founded in 1927, Zaro’s is a fourth-generation, family-owned bakery known for its made-from-scratch quality and deep New York heritage. Today, the brand has become a staple across high-traffic locations in the New York metropolitan area.
“Zaro’s has been a family business for nearly 100 years, and we are thrilled to start a new chapter with Earthbound Brands, another amazing family business.” said Brian Zaro, Co-Owner of Zaro’s Family Bakery. “Their team truly understands that this brand is more than a name. It carries the heart of four generations, and we’re excited to bring Zaro’s to new tables while honoring the traditions that turned a beloved neighborhood bakery into a true New York City institution.”
The partnership will focus on developing a strategic licensing program to extend the brand into additional grocery categories, including frozen and refrigerated foods, sauces, seasonings, coffee, and food gifting.

The partnership reinforces Earthbound Brands’ continued growth in food and beverage licensing, building on recent additions including Sun-Maid and Newman’s Own.
